Holiday Travels is the data controller responsible for your personal information collected through this Site.

• Booking information: check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, property selected, special requests.
• Payment information: billing name and address, and bank transfer details or payment card details, depending on the payment method you choose. Card numbers are processed securely and are not stored on our own servers (see Section 5).
• Identity information: where a property owner or local regulation requires it, we may ask for a copy of a government-issued photo ID prior to check-in.
• Communications: messages you send to us or to a property owner through the Site, and any correspondence you have with our support team.
• Reviews: content you submit when reviewing a property you have stayed at.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, search queries, time spent on the Site, referring website, and general interaction data.
• Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and manage your bookings, including sharing necessary details with the property owner so they can prepare for your stay;

• Improve and personalize the Site, including troubleshooting and analytics;

• Send you marketing communications, where you have opted in, and which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

• Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to prevent fraud;

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

• Property owners: we share the booking details necessary for the owner or their representative to honor your reservation (name, contact details, dates, number of guests).
• Payment processing: where you pay by credit card, your payment is processed by a secure third-party payment processor, which has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your card data. Where you pay by bank transfer, payment is made directly to our bank account and no card data is involved.
• Service providers: companies that help us operate the Site, such as hosting, email delivery, and customer support tools, under agreements that limit their use of your data to providing services to us.
• Legal and safety reasons: where required to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our Terms and Conditions, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Holiday Travels, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality arrangements.

Because our properties and guests are located across multiple countries, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including countries that may not offer the same level of data protection. Booking and payment records are typically retained for the period required by applicable tax and financial regulations.
