Welcome to my home at Excelsior BnB! After an extensive refurbishment, I’m excited to open my doors and welcome you as one of my first guests. If you’re after an authentic Amsterdam stay, you’ve found it.
This eco-friendly houseboat sits in a quiet spot in the Zeeheldenbuurt, in the ‘Oude Houthaven,’ with lovely views over the IJ and Amsterdam North, and it’s within walking distance (8 minutes) of the city centre. Staying here also does some good for the environment — the boat is heated through a sustainable water heat pump, using 5x less energy than standard heating, with no CO2 emissions and no fossil fuels burned.
The 40 sqm private studio has everything you need: a comfy king-size bed (180×200) with crisp white sheets, and windows in the ceiling above for stargazing. Start your morning with a Nespresso from the sofa and settle into life on the water. The en-suite bathroom has a bath with harbour views, a separate shower, and luxury Marie-Stella-Maris toiletries, plus its own separate toilet.
Free WiFi is available throughout, along with bed linens and towels.

The perfect way to close out our 16-day Europe trip. We rented two rooms, both with a king bed and full bathroom — great location.

The listing implies you get the whole boat to yourselves — that wasn’t the case for us. We felt we paid an excessive amount for what was really just a room.
