Kensington – House. Near Tube And Museums

Our beautiful, centrally located London house sits in one of the smartest neighbourhoods in the city, with exquisite interiors and a super roof garden.

Tastefully furnished, the house offers discerning guests a beautiful home to relax and enjoy, surrounded by comfort and modern conveniences. It’s set centrally, in a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to quality shopping, entertainment and London’s main tourist attractions. Transport links are excellent, with the subway and buses just a couple of minutes away, and Heathrow Airport is 40 minutes away.

The house is a few minutes’ walk from Gloucester Road tube station (Zone 1), giving fast access to the whole Underground network and the sights. There’s a double bedroom, ideally suited to a couple or a busy executive after the intimacy of a luxury house — the house sleeps a maximum of 2 (with the possibility of one or two extra young children). A staircase leads up to a beautiful roof garden with a table and chairs in warmer months, ideal for relaxing with a sundowner.

All linen, towels, shampoo, soap and shower gel are provided. The house is centrally heated throughout, warm in winter and cool in summer, with a comfortable sitting room, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, TV, DVD player, and WiFi throughout. The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine, with laundry detergent and dishwasher tablets provided.

A hospitality pack awaits on arrival, with bread, milk, eggs, butter, biscuits and chocolates, plus coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sugar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper stocked in the kitchen for every new arrival.

The house is great for cosy entertaining, though large parties aren’t allowed, and it’s limited to a maximum of 6 non-resident guests. It’s family friendly and works well for children of all ages. We’ll consider corporate bookings, long-term lets (over a month) and short breaks (4+ days); our standard minimum for summer is 5 nights, though 4-night stays are accepted at a premium. Strictly no smoking.

Kensington High Street, with its boutiques, restaurants, a Whole Foods and an M&S, is close by, along with plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs, particularly around Gloucester Road — the Gloucester Arms is just around the corner, and Coco Momo on Gloucester Road is a good spot for relaxed drinks and a great food menu. Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park is a 15-minute walk, and the famous South Kensington museums are in the other direction.
