Climb a further flight of stairs and you’ll reach an upper terrace set up with comfortable lounge furniture, where you get 360-degree views over the village and the coast — genuinely one of the best seats in the house.

The area is well placed for golf, with several highly regarded courses close by, and it’s also a great starting point for the famous Seven Hanging Valleys coastal walk.

Wine lovers are well catered for too, with a number of excellent local vineyards within easy reach. Free public parking can be found nearby.
