Amsterdam Farm Lodge: great for families

A delightful apartment nestled within the grounds of a peaceful working farm that includes a commendable restaurant. Our space was pristine and contained everything a family of five required — unpretentious yet fully functional for meal preparation, rest, and bathing. Bicycles were available for our use, facilitating convenient local exploration, with a convenient ferry journey of around ten minutes providing easy crossing. We experienced an unfortunate incident involving theft from our rental car, though this reflected the facility’s previous parking arrangement rather than any negligence by our hosts (the situation has since been rectified). The surrounding area maintained a quiet atmosphere, though perfectly secure. We were genuinely charmed by the owners and the property, and would enthusiastically return.

We had a fantastic time at Amsterdam Farm Lodge. Rogier and Nicole made us feel very welcome and provided wonderful suggestions for enjoying Amsterdam. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and had an endearingly quirky character — and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. It’s perfect for families, with a genuinely safe space for children to play freely and plenty of room to roam around, plus a natural outdoor area where they can enjoy the water. The farm animals and the ability to gather fresh mint for our tea were delightful touches. We’d highly recommend it for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat after exploring the busy city centre.
