Check-in was hassle-free. Prior communication had room for improvement since I needed to reach out to the property manager multiple times before making contact, though it was eventually worked out. The accommodation is spacious and situated in a tranquil setting, with convenient access to retail and transit options. For the rate, it represented reasonable value.

Magnificent vista stretching across the broad deck and pool region. The pool facility and table tennis provided wonderful recreational activities.

Cleanliness conditions fell far below standards, foul odors present, severely deteriorated property, disrupted by removal personnel working in the basement level, deceptive advertisement photos, no thorough tour of the premises (it became clear why), a blurry line between historic character and dilapidation. Unfortunate considering the property’s considerable latent promise.

Benefits: -Competitive pricing -Outstanding quiet area location north of the central district, near the Penitents Metro stop -Expansive home with sleeping capacity for 16 -Excellent high-speed internet and air conditioning -Plentiful parking on and off the property Drawbacks: -The property is dated and requires significant modernization -Linens and towels are noticeably worn from extensive use -The kitchen is undersized, poorly organized, with minimal equipment and difficult layout. The burners and oven require manual ignition before each use. This made cooking simultaneously challenging for larger groups. -Inadequate supplies of furnishings, dishes, mugs, cushions and linens -An upper bathroom shower had low pressure initially. When I attempted to fix the valve it snapped off. I reinstalled it but the shower never worked properly for the remainder of the week. I didn’t inform the owners as I’d lost my phone with their contact details, and we were subsequently billed 60 euros for the repair. While not a large sum, it was frustrating in hindsight. I should have reported it immediately. Lesson learned. -The pool was a welcome feature but water levels were insufficient and the structure exhibits numerous cracks and deterioration at the edges. It appears water was leaking from the damaged areas, so they simply lowered the water instead of addressing the underlying damage. Overall: We appreciated our time here, but I wish they would reinvest revenues into modernizing the property. It was pleasant but could have been remarkable.

An ideal retreat for a family weekend getaway. The proprietors were extremely accommodating and welcoming. The advantage of having an exclusive pool was wonderful. Located in a residential Barcelona neighborhood, yet conveniently just 5 metro stops from the city center. Would definitely return!

Attractive, roomy property with terrace and pool in a peaceful location, 10 minutes’ walk to the Metro. The space feels dated and the bedroom electrical systems could use modernization. Gas stove and dishwasher are functional, though tableware for 9 guests is limited. Beds are excellent and rooms are immaculate. The owner is delightful and attentive. A fine choice for larger families.
