This group accommodation sits aboard a large sailing ship dating from 1908! The ship is moored in central Amsterdam from April to mid-October, and in Monnickendam from mid-October to the end of March — a great base for all sorts of activities either way.

Fully renovated in 1986, the classic-looking ship sleeps up to 16, with 10 sleeping cabins, a separate toilet, 2 bathrooms and a large common room, complete with TV and stereo — a great space for eating together. There’s also a fully equipped kitchen connected to the common area.

Everything feels different from the water. The moorings are private, quiet and safe, near a historic shipyard, and from here most of Amsterdam’s sights are quick to reach by public transport, bike or on foot — think the canals, the Rijksmuseum, the Nemo Science Museum, plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and well-known theatres like Carré.
