This lovely, cosy country house, “Antico Borgo San Lorenzo,” dates back to the 11th century and was renovated in 1998, set among meadows, fields and vineyards. The residence comprises 5 houses split into 10 apartments, each individually designed and furnished.

It sits in a secluded, sunny hilltop position in the countryside, 4km from the centre of Colle di Val d’Elsa, 14km from San Gimignano and 24km from Siena, with the sea some 70km away.

Guests share a 5-hectare property, including an unfenced garden with plants and flowers, a meadow, and a swimming pool (16 x 8m, 140–150cm deep, open seasonally from 15 April to 31 October), plus an outdoor shower, table tennis, a terrace, a barbecue and a children’s playground. Inside there’s table football, a washing machine, and a tumble dryer available for shared use at an extra cost, along with bicycle rental. The property is reached via a 1.2km unmade road, with covered parking on site.

For reference: groceries and a supermarket are 4km away, a bakery 3km, the nearest bus stop 1.5km, and Colle di Val d’Elsa railway station 4km. The sandy beach at Cecina Mare is 70km away, an indoor pool 6km, and walking paths start just 100m from the house. Nearby attractions include Monteriggioni (12km), Certaldo (25km), Volterra (32km), Florence (60km) and Montalcino (66km).

A car is recommended. The property is family-friendly, with baby equipment included, and is also suitable for hosting events. Airport transfers can be arranged on request, and farm produce is available to buy locally.
