Modern yet cozy houseboat

Our stay was thoroughly delightful. We strolled to Rembrandt Square, enjoyed a magnificent dinner at Tujah Maret, and found the houseboat atmosphere to be simply outstanding. Our thanks to Albert!

Incredible houseboat and incredible host! Wonderfully intimate, ideal for a short getaway, spectacular views of the canal and surrounding architecture, especially magical in the evening.

Albert was hospitable and attentive to our needs. The unit offered laundry facilities and maintained comfortable warmth throughout our stay – in fact, we found ourselves turning down the heat at night. Conveniently situated near Rembrandt District and within walking distance (5-30 minutes) to numerous attractions. We appreciated the heated bathroom floors, though the bathroom is quite compact. The terrace provided a lovely retreat with occasional water traffic that was not intrusive. Despite nearby construction, it was neither audible nor visible from the property. Our party of four, including children ages 9 and 12, comfortably used the pullout sofa, and Albert thoughtfully provided a cot as backup. The sofa converted easily back to standard seating during daytime. A private entrance was available due to construction, offering enhanced security. The kitchen came fully equipped. While the entrance took a moment to locate initially, Albert’s instructions were clear. The entrance also serves as a convenient Uber pickup spot removed from main thoroughfares.

The houseboat was elegantly furnished and perfectly positioned near the attractions and restaurants we wanted to visit. The host was considerate and responsive to our requirements.

Albert demonstrates excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail throughout the property. Among our favorite features were the heated bathroom floors, the charming porch space, the convenient milk frother for coffee, the discreetly concealed television with Netflix access, the thoughtfully assembled neighborhood recommendations, and the generous, comfortable bed – a genuine luxury in this area. We’re eager to return next year.

The houseboat is elegantly appointed on a serene stretch of the canal. While construction took place nearby, this was unfortunately beyond Albert’s control.
