Detached holiday home with sea view

Our visit was absolutely lovely. The swimming pool was a real highlight and absolutely delightful. All the facilities were immaculately maintained and kept in excellent condition. The weather was particularly warm during our stay, and a fan in the room would have made things considerably more comfortable.

Bezaubernde kompakte Unterkunft mit Schwimmbecken, Hängematten und eigenem Gemüsebereich. Ausgezeichnete Instandhaltung und hervorragende Gastfreundschaft durch Marco und sein Team. Nachteil: die Lage ist sehr isoliert. Das nächstgelegene kleine Dorf mit einem winzigen Einkaufsmarkt befindet sich 6 km entfernt auf einem Feldweg. Gaststätten erreicht man erst nach etwa 15 Minuten Autofahrt. Dazu kommt: nachts sind zahlreiche Insekten und Reptilien aktiv… Trotz allem ein wirklich attraktives Angebot!

Our stay was marred by difficulties obtaining a full receipt for the substantial cash payment made upon arrival. Marco indicated that the quoted price came without a receipt option. He assured us we’d receive documentation after we left, but it took nearly three months of repeated requests before we got a partial receipt—and we never did receive one for the total amount.

We enjoyed a spectacular week in this truly gorgeous vacation property. The accommodation is precisely as depicted in the photos and listing. The correspondence and arrival process with Marco worked very smoothly. Of course, a vehicle is needed, but it enables wonderful day excursions to Alghero, Castelsardo, Bosa, Capo Caccia, and numerous other beautiful locations in western Sardinia. Within a short distance from the property there are a few lesser-known beaches and bays. Small retailers are likewise in the area. The nearest Lidl is around 35 minutes away. All in all, a fantastic property and highly suggested!

Remarkably tranquil setting. We spent several days almost entirely alone (with the three kitties) on a beautiful secluded property. Genuinely quite peaceful. Surrounded only by the sounds of sheep and various bird species. Food shopping requires forethought, with considerable distance to larger supermarkets. Basic necessities are available at the local village shop, though it closes in the afternoon. Kitchen supplies are somewhat limited. Coffee enthusiasts should be aware there is no coffee maker, though this was not a concern for us tea drinkers. Short drives (10/15/20 minutes) to several lovely beaches in the area. During September, these beaches were relatively quiet to moderately populated. The water was transparent and pleasantly warm. Bring a snorkel. A vehicle is essential. The owners were extremely pleasant. We felt very at home.

Magnificent vacation home in charming, traditional style (La Chintana Suite) situated amid nature with spectacular views across the hilly landscape of North Sardinia; the sea is visible in the distance. The property featured everything necessary for a peaceful and tranquil getaway in complete seclusion. Marco and his parents (the proprietors) do not live on the premises but remain readily available and provide daily care for the homes and guests. The terrace breakfast experience was particularly satisfying. Given the time of year (we stayed late September/early October), several local restaurants had already closed for the season, requiring journeys to nearby Stintino or Alghero for dining out. We would gladly suggest this property to others.
