This property offers a remarkable location: everything is reachable on foot and there’s a metro station just moments away. The studio is presented exactly as shown in the advertisement. It was spotless, tastefully furnished, and wonderful for two guests. Looking out from the windows at the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides is absolutely spectacular, while the patio overlooks the quieter rear of the building.

The apartment features excellent spatial planning and offers beautiful panoramic views from multiple sides. The Eiffel Tower and Eglise du Dome are beautifully framed through large windows in the bedroom and living spaces. A charming small terrace provides lovely sightlines of rooftops and chimneys for enjoying meals. The cooking facilities are splendid, featuring a 4-burner range, oven, and microwave. The place is exceptionally serene with a secluded outdoor terrace. Eric is a fantastic host who welcomed us at the door and guided us to the apartment. He was attentive to our concerns and remained accessible for any additional questions. I particularly appreciated the independent toilet with its own sink adjacent to the bedroom, which is quite uncommon in Paris short-term rentals we’ve experienced. Overall, we thoroughly appreciated the apartment’s layout and design. Watching the Bastille Day fireworks unfold before us from the apartment was spectacular and will remain a cherished memory.

The property owner, Eric, cancelled our reservation merely three days before we were scheduled to arrive, offering no justification. We were compelled to frantically seek alternative housing in an outlying area. This proved quite problematic for sightseeing purposes and forced us to depend on taxis for all transportation. Regrettably, we forfeited our $250 Seine river dinner reservation as taxis were unavailable. Certain taxi drivers significantly overcharged us. We have determined we will not be returning to Paris.

Spectacular vistas, charming compact balcony, wonderful air circulation. Lacked a full-length mirror. Proprietor was friendly and accommodating. Would stay again.

The neighborhood is appealing: we valued staying in a residential area rather than a tourist-heavy district, and naturally the panoramas are remarkable. The evening illumination of the Eiffel Tower never lost its appeal. Getting to the apartment from the street requires some maneuvering, but we were given explicit directions, complete with pictures, that made the entry straightforward. The apartment was pleasant, well-maintained, and tidy.
As for drawbacks: The apartment is quite compact, more so than the online pictures suggest; this posed no issues for a couple celebrating their honeymoon, but may challenge others. It also had limited amenities. Given the rate, visitors might anticipate having a coffee maker, hygiene products provided (we relied on our own supplies, plus leftover toiletries others had abandoned), and a bit more effort toward making guests feel valued. While these weren’t major difficulties, they seemed like reasonable expectations at that price.
Furthermore, our timing coincided with a transit workers’ strike and associated rallies throughout the city. We were aware the journey would present extra hurdles, as the underground system was largely shut down and congestion filled the avenues, plus certain landmarks were inaccessible (roughly 25-30% of the Louvre was closed). A scheduled excursion beyond the city limits became infeasible, as rail service was severely disrupted. Simply traveling from the airport into the center took considerably longer and cost more than anticipated. When we touched down, major protests were underway; demonstrators faced chemical dispersal; armed law enforcement patrolled thoroughfares with military-grade weapons.
Vacationers were abandoning or postponing their bookings en masse; our honeymoon was something we cherished and hoped would be serene. We contacted the proprietor about shifting our visit to spring – he’d already received the deposit and we weren’t requesting a refund or cancellation. We merely wished to adjust dates. He proved utterly inflexible, arguing that a) rescheduling wasn’t feasible and b) any cancellation would result in him keeping everything he’d been paid. VRBO offered no assistance, claiming the decision was his alone.
We proceeded with our plans and did our best to enjoy ourselves, but this interaction certainly started things off poorly.
Positives: Attractive residence, wonderful views. Negatives: Costly; dismissive proprietor.

Our experience was truly delightful. The apartment was convenient to reside in, connecting with the host was effortless, and the outlook was breathtaking.

First, the panorama. If you assume all Paris flats offer views of this caliber—you’d be mistaken. This provides outstanding perspectives of both the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. When darkness falls, the vista is absolutely magnificent. The position is also exceptional, situated near establishments for dining and refreshment along Rue Babylon. I’d suggest trying Coutume for a beverage!
The subway station is also accessible, and using it is well worth doing.
Eric demonstrated exceptional courtesy by permitting us to deposit our bags prior to our official arrival. This was beneficial since we didn’t need to haul our heavy luggage throughout the city.
The flat is somewhat confined, notably the lavatory and particularly the lavatory door since it strikes “le petit évier” (the tiny washbasin)—and this is not the destination if you traveled to Paris intending to make noise in your quarters. Similar to many short-term rentals, this occupies a residential building with long-established full-time occupants, and therefore you should anticipate being asked to maintain quiet levels, particularly beyond 8 PM.
The kitchen was nicely furnished with cooking gear. It would have benefitted from having a Nespresso machine available or at minimum instructions for visitors from abroad regarding what Nespresso involves and where to locate it at the neighborhood Carrefour.
The journey from the street entrance to the residence can be challenging and represents somewhat of a climb, but a well-maintained working lift transports you to the upper floor.
Disregard the rest and focus on that remarkable vista. In conclusion, we would return, and Eric was excellent to collaborate with.
